[2016] March Goals + February Recap

snoopy happy march
compliments of @snoopygrams

Ok, y’all. Can someone explain to me how it’s already March? I mean, I feel like I just celebrated the New Year and now I’m almost at my 2 month SFversary and it’s damn near spring.

I mean, don’t get me wrong. I’m not complaining. With the beginning of March comes even more amazing SF weather and it also begins the one month countdown to my Miami, where I will be celebrating my [gasp] 35th birthday. I could go on and on about how “old” I am but let’s keep it real. For (almost) 35 years old, I feel great (and I don’t look to shabby either). Sure I can barely stifle down a second glass of wine without having a hangover in the morning, but that’s neither here nor there. I still watch PLL (don’t judge me, join me), so I feel closer to 17 than I have in years.

I only have about 20 or so mins to write before I have to head off to the airport (work travels) but I wanted to quickly say hello (hey boo!), share what I’ve been up to these last four weeks (and a day!) and tell you what’s on the agenda for March.

Last month, I said I was going to do a lot of things. Some I did, some I didn’t. Here’s how things went down.

Here’s what I did:

I finished unpacking. Woooohoooo! I also mounted my TV and got my chandelier pic and beveled edged mirror up. I’m like 97% DONE  with my room.

Just waiting on some lampshades and new pillows I ordered, because why not?

Here’s what I didn’t do: Everything else. That’s right….aside from unpacking the rest of my belongings, I did not do a single other thing from my list. Not. One. Those things included: making my budget, chatting with my financial planner, doing my taxes, attending a barre class (well, I kind of did), finding a hair place, go to Napa, sharing more about why I started the Path…none of that happened this month.

Now, I could be angry about that, but you know what, such is life. It’s not as if I was completely useless. I was super sick for like a week and a half and work has been absolutely nuts-o, leaving me exhausted on most week nights. But that aside, I did manage to:

Sweat a lot. I did personal training, spun like a maniac and went to a bunch of other classes here (including one that was pseudo barre-like). One class had a contraption that looked like this:

burn-sf-machine
workout equipment or torture device?

And since 2/11, this happened. (Probably from sweating a lot).

I’ve been drinking crazy amounts of water, tracking my food and and eating a lot of these:

Zoodles!
Zoodles! Low cal option for pasta that I’m obsessed with.

I also talked to this cutie.

facetime-hangout
hanging with Mom.

And saw an 80s cover band.

And launched two new ads at work. To which this one won Adweek’s Ad of the Day.

Oh, and I’ve been dating. (Nothing to write home about just yet, but I’m not just sitting twiddling my thumbs every weekend).

So if I’m being honest, February wasn’t that bad. I’ve jut got some making up to do this month. Buuuut, because I’ve learned my lesson about biting off more than I can chew, I’d say if I have to prioritize, it’s most important to: Get my taxes done. Find a hair place. Talk to Josh (my financial planner). Write here. (Last month I only met my goal by half).

Tell me beautiful friends: Do you set monthly goals? What are you trying to accomplish this month?

  1. Hey Boo!!! (right back at yah)… I Love the update! The vain part of me particularly like the pic of me hanging out with you! LOL!!! Your room is looking fantastic! I love it. That torture device looks like it can certainly whip anyone into shape! Congrats on the 5lbs lost; and the recognition of all the hard work you and your Google teammates have been working so hard on…. the more recent “Rock, Paper, Scissor” Android commercial is so freakin’ cute! Also, I am happy to see that you took some time for yourself in between your crazy work schedule. Those noodles look so good… please provide me the name of the kitchen gadget you used to make the noodles and the recipe again, I’d like to make it for myself. Safe travels… I look forward to hearing about your trip when you get back! Love you! ~Mom XOXOXO 🙂
