Merry Christmas! (Happy birthday, Jesus). I am writing to you from the comfort of my bed at 10:03am and have yet to open a thing. Open being the operative word because we’re doing everything completely non-traditional this year in an effort to be green. Read: little to no wrapping paper. This is what happens when you celebrate Christmas at home and you’re in your thirties. I do know that I have a Kindle Fire downstairs (yippee) and I’m anxious to load some books onto that baby to keep me entertained on my long flight to Argentina (which is less than 3 weeks away). Any ideas of what to download?
My morning has been relaxing thus far. I received my first Christmas text from my Dad in the seventh hour, to which I rolled over and went right back to bed. Then in the eighth hour, I rose to respond to my Dad, check Facebook and read some Tweets. After re-tweeting two of my favorite messages (see below) and sending out a few texts myself, I once again, rolled back over. Finally, in the tenth hour, I rose for good and here I am, wishing you all a Merry Christmas.
Today I will spend time with some extended family and I’m excited to see everyone and show off my new haircut (which I’ll post about soon). In the meantime, I will continue to relax in bed and enjoy this glorious morning.
Merry Christmas to all … and to all a good morning!
My two favorite Christmas tweets thus far:
1) University of Miami @univmiami: We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Enjoy your candy #Canes. (So clever, they are).
2) Jesus @jesus: Birthday party is the same theme as last year!
